Why support the Spirit of the West Cowboy Gathering?
The Spirit of the West Cowboy Gathering brings the best traditional cowboy musicians, poets, and artists together to celebrate the Western tradition of ranching and cowboy life. Nationally known entertainers, many of whom have performed at Carnegie Hall, Grand Old Opry, on National Public Radio, and the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Elko, Nevada include Don Edwards, Waddie Mitchell, Wylie & the Wild West, Stephanie Davis Band, Paul Zarzyski, Sourdough Slim, Juni Fisher, Baxter Black, and R.W. Hampton.
The Spirit of the West Cowboy Gathering will also host a Gear & Art Show, a series of workshops, demonstrations and dances throughout Historic Downtown Ellensburg and the Kittitas Valley Event Center. Additionally, you’ll hear many of your favorite regionally known cowboy and cowgirl poets and crooners share rhymes, stories, and songs throughout town.
