Cowboy Buck and Elizabeth assemblies are provided through The Spirit of the West at our local elementary schools. Buck and Elizabeth teamed with our elementary STAMPEDE Program to promote the 2013 theme “Be Nice To Others,” which is one of the Elementary “Code of the West” Eight Principles to Live By. Buck and Elizabeth share a passion for “education through entertainment” and provide high energy shows with a western flair on self-esteem, safety and healthy choices. Secretaries, principals, students, and custodians put on their western boots to help us kick off and celebrate the “Week of the Cowboy” in anticipation for The Spirit of the West Cowboy Gathering. Students are recognized at each year’s Gathering for their winning art and poetry entries in the Stampede Program. Kittitas County schools will “Cowboy Up” and catch the “Spirit” during the 2013 assemblies at Thorp, Kittitas, Valley View, Mt. Stuart , Lincoln and the Ellensburg Christian School .
